Ind. Code § 14-9-8-22
Whenever a conservation officer retires after at least twenty (20) years of service, the department shall, in recognition of the officer's service to the department, do the following:
(3) Issue the officer an identification card that contains the following information:
(E) That the officer is authorized to retain the service weapon issued to the officer by the department.
