1. (a) A commission may receive grants and appropriations from the following:

   1. (1) Federal, state, and local governments.

   2. (2) Individuals, foundations, and other organizations.

      However, a commission is not eligible for funding through the Wabash River heritage corridor commission established by IC 14-13-6-6 .

2. (b) The commission may enter into an agreement or contract regarding the acceptance or use of the grants and appropriations described in subsection (a) for the purpose of carrying out the commission's activities under this chapter.
