A township trustee may, with the approval of the township board, do the following:

1. (1) Conduct the following for township assistance recipients in the township:

   1. (A) Rehabilitation programs.
   2. (B) Training programs.
   3. (C) Retraining programs.
   4. (D) Work programs.
2. (2) Employ personnel to supervise the programs.

3. (3) Pay the costs of the programs from township assistance money.
