Ind. Code § 12-13-5-7 – Appointment of bureau head or employee

(a) The secretary or the secretary's designee shall appoint a bureau head or an employee who reports directly to the director.
(b) The bureau head shall, with the approval of the secretary or the secretary's designee, appoint each employee who reports directly to the head.
