Ind. Code § 12-12-8-9
Appointment to fill vacancy on council
As added by P.L.217-2005, SEC.17.
If a vacancy occurs among the voting members of the council, the original appointing authority shall appoint a qualified individual to serve for the unexpired term of the vacating member.
