Ind. Code § 12-10-7-2

"Indigent adult" defined

As added by P.L.2-1992, SEC.4.

As used in this chapter, "indigent adult" means an individual who:

  1. (1) is at least eighteen (18) years of age;
  2. (2) has no appropriate person to serve as guardian; and
  3. (3) either:

    1. (A) has an annual gross income of not more than one hundred twenty-five percent (125%) of the federal income poverty level as determined annually by the federal Office of Management and Budget under 42 U.S.C. 9902; or
    2. (B) demonstrates the inability to obtain privately provided guardianship services.
