Ind. Code § 11-13-1-5

Probation officers; permissive powers

A probation officer may:

  1. (1) visit and confer with any person under investigation or under his supervision;
  2. (2) exercise those powers necessary to carry out his duties; and
  3. (3) act as a parole officer for the department when requested by the department and when the request is approved by the court.
