1. (a) The department may enter into an agreement with one (1) or more:

   1. (1) broadcasters; or

   2. (2) electronic billboard operators;

      to issue blue alerts under a blue alert program established under this chapter.

2. (b) The superintendent shall designate staff responsible for the operation of the blue alert program.
