1. (a) The training program courses shall be conducted under the supervision and direction of the superintendent.

2. (b) The training programs must include courses of instruction in the following subjects:

   1. (1) Detection, pursuit, apprehension, and conviction of criminals.
   2. (2) Safety and first aid assistance.

   3. (3) Any other subject the superintendent considers appropriate.
