1. (a) This Act applies to guardianship and protective proceedings begun on or after the effective date of this Act.
2. (b) Articles 1, 3, and 4 and Sections 501 and 502 apply to proceedings begun before the effective date of this Act, regardless of whether a guardianship or protective order has been issued.
