- (a) Except as provided in subsection (b), Sections 2 through 17 of this Act are inoperative on and after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 102nd General Assembly.
- (b) If at any time the Occupational Safety and Health Administration Hazard Communication standard at 29 CFR 1910.1200 is repealed or revoked, the Director of Labor shall adopt a rule setting forth a determination that this Act should be reviewed and reinstated in order to protect the health and safety of Illinois' workers. On the date such a rule is adopted, this Act shall again become operative.
