Standards of Construction
AUTHORITY: Implementing and authorized by Section 13-109 of the Illinois Vehicle Inspection Law [625 ILCS 5] and Section 12-812 of the Illinois Vehicle Equipment Law [625 ILCS 5].DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
a) "Shall" and "must" are used in the imperative sense. "May" allows permissiveness under terms specified in the standards. "Will" indicates intention, promise or willingness.
b) Words imparting the masculine gender include the feminine.
