General Requirements
AUTHORITY: Implementing Sections 6-410 and 13-106 of the Illinois Vehicle Code [625 ILCS 5/6-410] and 13-106] and Section 2705-125 of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois [20 ILCS 2705/2705-125] and authorized by Section 5-625 of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois [20 ILCS 5/5-625] and Section 5-25 of the Illinois Administrative Procedure Act [5 ILCS 100/5-25].DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
a) Any and all rates or charges made by an operator of an Official Testing Station for performing a safety test for a second division vehicle other than a school bus shall be just and reasonable.
b) A rate or charge is "just and reasonable" if it is the same, or nearly the same, as the prevailing rate or charge for the same or similar test made in the community where the Official Testing Station is located.
