Appellant Participation in Hearing
AUTHORITY: Implementing Sections 11-8 through 11-8.7, 12-4.9 and 12-4.25 and authorized by Section 12-13 of the Illinois Public Aid Code [305 ILCS 5/11-8 through 11-8.7, 12-4.9, 12-4.25 and 12-13].DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES
a) The appellant shall have the opportunity to:
1) Present evidence and witnesses in the appellant's behalf.
2) Refute testimony or other evidence and cross-examine witnesses.
b) If an appellant dies before the date of hearing, the appeal process may be pursued by someone acting responsibly in the appellant's behalf.
