AUTHORITY: Implementing and authorized by the Child Care Act of 1969 [225 ILCS 10], the Children's Product Safety Act [430 ILCS 125], Section 3 of the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act [325 ILCS 5], Sections 1 and 2 of the Facilities Requiring Smoke Detectors Act [425 ILCS 10] and Section 5 of the Missing Children Records Act [325 ILCS 50].DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES
a) The purpose of this Part is to prescribe the standards for licensure as a group day care home and to describe how to apply for a license.
b) The licensing standards set forth in this Part are applicable to group day care homes as defined in the Child Care Act of 1969 (the Act) (IIl. Rev. Stat. 1987, ch. 23, pars. 2211 et seq.).
