AUTHORITY: Implementing and authorized by the Child Care Act of 1969 [225 ILCS 10], the Children's Product Safety Act [430 ILCS 125], Section 3 of the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act [325 ILCS 5], Sections 1 and 2 of the Facilities Requiring Smoke Detectors Act [425 ILCS 10], and Section 5 of the Missing Children Records Act [325 ILCS 50].DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES
a) Swimming activities shall be supervised for safety.
b) All children must be directly supervised (caregiver physically present with the children) at all times when children are wading or swimming.
c) A second adult shall be available to supervise any children not swimming.
