1. a) Filling density is limited to 85% capacity by volume at 60°F.
2. b) The filling densities for non-refrigerated containers shall not exceed the following:
3. 1) Uninsulated aboveground 56%;

4. 2) Insulated aboveground 57%.

   1. c) US Department of Transportation containers shall be filled in accordance with49 CFR 173.315(m)(5).
   2. d) If containers are to be filled according to liquid level by any gauging method other than a fixed length dip tube gauge, each container shall have a thermometer well and thermometer so that the internal liquid temperature can be easily determined and the amount of liquid and vapor in the container corrected to a 60°F basis.
