- a) The applicant organizations must be engaged in HIV/AIDS-prevention education and HIV/AIDS healthcare treatment in Illinois (Section 21.8 of the Act);
- b) The applicant organization shall be physically located within the community to be served in Illinois;
- c) The applicant organization may be a nonprofit entity, educational institution, or governmental entity, including, but not limited to, a local health department, community-based organization, or health care facility;
- d) The applicant organization shall be in good standing with the Illinois Secretary of State and be duly authorized to transact business in the State of Illinois;
- e) The applicant organization shall provide services to individuals or families impacted by HIV; and
- f) The applicant organization shall be in existence for a minimum of three years prior to applying for a grant award.
To be eligible to receive a grant from the Fund, the applicant shall meet all of the following criteria:
