Insulation/Building Perimeter

AUTHORITY: Implementing and authorized by Section 32.5 of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Systems Act [210 ILCS 50].DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH

1) Zones for insulation/building perimeter requirements shall consist of the counties listed here.

Zone 1 includes the following counties:

Zone 2 includes the following counties:

2) The following minimum building perimeter insulation R values shall be provided:
1. 3) All windows shall be glazed with double glazed insulating glass. All exterior windows and door frames shall be constructed of non-cold conducting materials such as wood or metal with at thermal break.
