1. a) The examination for licensure as a registered occupational therapist shall be the certification examination for the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (Certification Examination for Occupational Therapist, Registered).
2. b) The examination for licensure as a certified occupational therapy assistant shall be the certification examination for the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (Certification Examination for Occupational Therapy Assistants).
3. c) Candidates shall make application for the examination and pay the appropriate examination fee directly to the designated testing service.
4. d) Unsuccessful candidates may retake the examination as many times as they wish.
5. e) Passage of the certification examination according to testing service standards shall be required for licensure.
