1. a) The 500-hour barber course for licensed cosmetologists or licensed cosmetology teachers seeking licensure as a barber (see Section 2-10 of the Act), shall include a minimum of 500 clock hours of instruction and practical experience in subjects in the following categories as defined in Section 1175.330:

   1. 1) Basic Training − 90 Hours, including the Act and this Part and sanitary standards;
2. 2) Shaving and Facial Hair Design – 50 Hours;
3. 3) Haircutting and Styling – 300 Hours;
4. 4) Chemical Texture Services – 30 Hours;
5. 5) Barbershop Management – 30 Hours.
6. b) The school may provide online hours in theory, not to exceed 10% of the total hours.
7. c) The school may include an internship as part of this course.
