Compatibility of Individuals and Host Families
Effective May 31, 202347 Ill. Reg. 8485AUTHORITY: Implementing the Community-Integrated Living Arrangements Licensure and Certification Act [210 ILCS 135] and the Health Care Worker Background Check Act [225 ILCS 46], and authorized by Section 5-104 of the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Code [405 ILCS 5/5-104] and Section 5 of the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Administrative Act [20 ILCS 1705/5].DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES
a) The following factors must be considered when determining the compatibility of individuals with developmental disabilities and host family members:
1) Smoking habits;
2) Waking and bedtimes;
3) Meal preferences;
4) Social interests;
5) Cultural needs;
6) Chores; and
7) Other unique needs.
b) Differences in preference and needs must be identified and must be avoided or addressed in Personal Plans.
