Permission to Scrap

Reg. 5637AUTHORITY: Implementing and authorized by Sections 67.15 and 67.22 of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois [20 ILCS 405/67.15 and 67.22] and Sections 1 through 7, 8 and 9 of the State Property Control Act [30 ILCS 605/1-7, 8 and 9].DEPARTMENT OF CENTRAL MANAGEMENT SERVICES

a) No item of equipment valued at $100 or more may be scrapped without the permission of the Department.
b) An agency's request to scrap equipment must include:
1. 1) type of equipment;
2. 2) value;
3. 3) condition; and
4. 4) reason for scrapping.
c) Permission to scrap will be granted if, in the judgment of the Department, the criteria in Section 5010.910 have been met.
