Criteria for Scrapping

Reg. 5637AUTHORITY: Implementing and authorized by Sections 67.15 and 67.22 of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois [20 ILCS 405/67.15 and 67.22] and Sections 1 through 7, 8 and 9 of the State Property Control Act [30 ILCS 605/1-7, 8 and 9].DEPARTMENT OF CENTRAL MANAGEMENT SERVICES

a) the equipment in question is damaged beyond repair;
b) the equipment in question is so severely damaged that it is not economically practical to repair it; or
c) if the value of the equipment in question is so low that it is not economically practical to ship it for redistribution or offer it for sale.

Equipment shall be scrapped if:
