Informal Resolution

AUTHORITY: Implementing Title II, Subtitle A of the Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 12131-12134) and Section 35.107 of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's rules entitled "Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Disability in State and Local Government" (28 CFR 35.107) and authorized by Section 46.42 of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1991, ch. 127, par. 46.42).DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY

The Department and/or entities which administer programs, services or activities on behalf of the Department under a contract, a grant or any other legally binding agreement shall make every effort to informally resolve complaints under the ADA before they become grievances, in accordance with 28 CFR 35.176.
