In addition to the CAIR NO_x allowances allocated pursuant to Section 225.425, the USEPA has allowed allocation of an additional 11,299 CAIR NO_x allowances in Illinois as a compliance supplement pool to Illinois for the control period in 2009. However, for the purposes of public health and air quality improvements, none of these allowances will be allocated.
