1. a) Have been rendered unrecognizable and therefore are no longer PIMW; or

2. b) Have been:

   1. 1) Packaged, marked, and labeled in compliance with 35 Ill. Adm. Code 1421.Subparts C and D;
   2. 2) Delivered by a transporter with a PIMW hauling permit as required by 35 Ill. Adm. Code 1420.105, unless specifically exempted; and
   3. 3) Accompanied by a PIMW manifest as required by 35 Ill. Adm. Code 1420.105, unless specifically exempted.

Sharps may not be disposed of in a landfill unless they have been treated to eliminate the infectious potential and:
