1. a) The effluent limitations at 35 Ill. Adm. Code 304 and Section 406.106 do not apply to mine discharges from reclamation areas.

2. b) A mine discharge effluent from a reclamation area must not exceed the following levels of contaminants:

   Constituent	Concentration
   Settleable solids	0.5 ml/L
   pH (range)	6-9

3. c) Notwithstanding subsection (b), any discharge or increase in discharge volume caused by precipitation within a 24-hour period greater than the 10-year, 24-hour precipitation event (or snowmelt of equivalent volume) is subject only to a pH limitation range of 6-9.
