1. a) The content of the Course shall be determined by the Board and shall include, but not be limited to, the following topics:
2. 1) Types of death investigations;
3. 2) Death and homicide investigation techniques;
4. 3) Crime scene management and preservation of evidence;

5. 4) Interviews and interrogations.

   1. b) The Course shall include 40 to 50 hours of content and those hours must be offered within no greater than a 7 consecutive day period.

6. c) The Course shall be taught by instructors approved by the Board.

   1. d) The timing and location of Course offerings shall be determined at the discretion of the Board, but the Course shall be offered within the state of Illinois in a manner that provides reasonable access to officers in terms of time of year.
