Commission Reports to General Assembly and Governor
AUTHORITY: Implementing and authorized by the Illinois Torture Inquiry and Relief Commission Act [775 ILCS 40].TORTURE INQUIRY AND RELIEF COMMISSION
a) On January 1 of each year, the Commission shall report on its activities to the General Assembly and the Governor.
b) The report may contain recommendations of any needed legislative changes related to the activities of the Commission. The report shall also recommend the funding needed by the Commission, the State's Attorneys and the Department of State Police in order to meet the responsibilities of each agency under the Act. Recommendations concerning the State's Attorneys or the Department of State Police shall only be made after consultations with the Illinois State's Attorneys Association, the Department of State Police and the Attorney General.
