1. a) This sub-system shall have the ability to validate used sign-on data entered through a T.I.M. and use table lock-up techniques to determine which functions the user is permitted to perform when the totalizators are in use.

2. b) The security sub-system shall record on the system log file any attempt to:

   1. 1) stop execution of the system
   2. 2) alter the contents of the memory or auxiliary storage device, or
   3. 3) modify the sequence of instructions within the computer(s).

Totalizator program operation shall be under the control of a software security sub-system.
