As used in this chapter:

1. (1) "Course" means a course of instruction or a program of instruction.
2. (2) "Dual credit" means credit awarded to a student on his or her secondary and postsecondary transcript for the completion of a single course.
3. (3) "Eligible institution" means a public or private postsecondary educational institution accredited by an organization recognized by the state board of education.
4. (4) "Postsecondary credit" means credit awarded to a student on his or her postsecondary transcript for the completion of a course.
5. (5) "Secondary credit" means credit awarded to a student on his or her secondary transcript for the completion of a course.
