1. (1) The council may establish and assess fees for:

   1. (a) The use of its facilities and equipment by private entities and non-law enforcement institutions;
   2. (b) The use of its facilities and equipment by law enforcement agencies for purposes other than basic training; and
   3. (c) Facilitating, arranging, providing or assisting with the training, certification or continuing education requirements of private entities, non-law enforcement institutions and law enforcement agencies.
2. (2) The council shall deposit assessed fees into the peace officer standards and training fund established in section 19-5116, Idaho Code. The council may expend moneys as deemed necessary to cover the costs for the uses identified in this section.
