571—37.52(462A) Iowa River.

1. 37.52(1)  Iowa River, Iowa Falls, Hardin County.

   1. a. All vessels operated in a designated zone between the River Street Bridge and the dock at Dougan’s Landing shall be operated at a speed not greater than 5 miles per hour.
   2. b. The city of Iowa Falls shall designate and maintain the 5-mile-per-hour speed zone with marker buoys approved by the commission.
   3. c. All vessels operated in a designated zone beginning at the west property boundary and ending at the east property boundary of the Scenic City Empress Boat Club property located at 1113 Union Street shall be operated at a no-wake speed. The zone shall not extend more than 75 feet into the Iowa River channel.
   4. d. The Scenic City Empress Boat Club shall designate and maintain the no-wake zone with marker buoys approved by the commission.
2. 37.52(2)  Iowa River, Iowa City, Johnson County. No person shall operate any vessel towing persons on water skis, surfboards, or similar devices on the Iowa River in the area bounded by the Coralville Mill Dam and the Burlington Street Dam, except during regattas, races, marine parades, tournaments, or exhibitions authorized by the commission to be held in such area.
