21—65.10(163) Dogs and cats.

1. 65.10(1)  General.

   1. a. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI). All dogs and cats imported into the state must be accompanied by a CVI indicating apparent freedom from disease or exposure to infectious or contagious disease, except dogs for exhibition and performing dogs entering for a limited period of time.
   2. b. Dogs or cats originating from rabies-quarantined areas shall not be admitted.

2. 65.10(2)  Rabies.

   1. a. Cats. No rabies vaccination is required.
   2. b. Dogs. All dogs four months of age and older must have a current rabies vaccination with a USDA-approved rabies vaccine.
