1. 1. An action under section 659A.3, subsection 2, for:

   1. a. An unauthorized disclosure shall not be brought later than four years from the date the disclosure was discovered or should have been discovered with the exercise of reasonable diligence.
   2. b. A threat to disclose shall not be brought later than four years from the date of the threat to disclose.
2. 2. This section is subject to section 614.8.
