1. 1. If a physical exercise club violates a provision of this chapter, the buyer may cancel the physical exercise club contract. The buyer also has a right of action against the physical exercise club for recovery of the amount the buyer paid to the physical exercise club under the contract. In addition to any judgment awarded to the buyer, the court may allow reasonable attorney’s fees.
2. 2. A violation of any of the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed an unlawful practice under section 714.16, subsection 2, paragraph “a”.
3. 3. Unless displaced by the particular provisions of this chapter, the principles of law and equity supplement the provisions of this chapter.
