Iowa Code § 543B.27
1. The real estate commission shall set fees for examination and licensing of real estate brokers and real estate salespersons. The commission shall determine the annual cost of administering the examination and shall set the examination fee accordingly. The commission shall set the fees for the real estate broker’s licenses and for real estate salesperson’s licenses based upon the administrative costs of sustaining the commission.
