1. 1. Each licensed board member shall be actively engaged in the practice or the instruction of the board member’s profession and shall have been so engaged for a period of five years just preceding the board member’s appointment, the last two of which shall be in this state.
2. 2. However, each licensed physician assistant member of the board of physician assistants shall be actively engaged in practice as a physician assistant and shall have been so engaged for a period of three years just preceding the member’s appointment, the last year of which shall be in this state.
