1. 1. The secretary shall, as soon as practicable after January 1 of each odd-numbered year, prepare a report of the proceedings of the executive council for the two preceding calendar years. The report shall include a statement of:

   1. a. The official canvass of the votes cast at the last general election.
   2. b. Other acts of the council that are of general interest.
2. 2. The report may be published in the Iowa official register as provided in section 2A.5.
