Rule 85-2-.06. Advanced Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Rules

1. (1) Three or more verifiable amateur mixed martial arts fights are required to compete in these rules. Non mandatory. For fighters seeking to turn professional.

2. (2) LEGAL TECHNIQUES WHILE STANDING:

   1. (a) Closed hand strikes to head and body;
   2. (b) Kicking to body;
   3. (c) Knees to body and legs;
   4. (d) Throws/Take downs/Sweeps;
   5. (e) Standing Submissions;
   6. (f) Chokes;
   7. (g) Armbars;
   8. (h) Shouldering.

3. (3) LEGAL TECHNIQUES WHILE ON THE GROUND:

   1. (a) Closed hand strikes to head, body, and legs;
   2. (b) Submissions (chokes, armbars, straight leg locks ONLY).

4. (4) ILLEGAL TECHNIQUES WHILE STANDING:

   1. (a) Elbows;
   2. (b) Knees to head;
   3. (c) Reserved;
   4. (d) Kicks to knees;
   5. (e) Stomps on feet;
   6. (f) Groin strikes;
   7. (g) Hitting back of head;
   8. (h) Spine strikes;
   9. (i) Slamming;
   10. (j) Throws onto head or neck;
   11. (k) Throws against a joint;
   12. (l) Throwing out of competition area;
   13. (m) Neck cranks;
   14. (n) Holding ropes;
   15. (o) Pinching, biting, gouging, and any "dirty fighting".

5. (5) ILLEGAL TECHNIQUES WHILE ON GROUND: THE ADVANCED RULES ALLOW STRIKES TO THE HEAD ON THE GROUND AFTER 3 CONFIRMED FIGHTS.

   1. (a) Elbows;
   2. (b) Neck cranks;
   3. (c) Heel hooks;
   4. (d) Finger locks;
   5. (e) Toe locks;
   6. (f) Choking with hand on throat;
   7. (g) Smothering (hand over mouth);
   8. (h) Spine locks;
   9. (i) Fish hooks;
   10. (j) Groin strikes;
   11. (k) Spine strikes;
   12. (l) Slamming;
   13. (m) Throwing out of competition area;
   14. (n) Pinching, biting, gouging, and any "dirty fighting".

6. (6) ADDITIONAL ITEMS:

   1. (a) No Vaseline on the body;
   2. (b) No shoes;
   3. (c) No shirts for male contestants;
   4. (d) No metal zippers on shorts.
