Rule 70-4-.02. Use of Facility for Home Shop

1. (1) Separate space must be provided for a barber facility.

2. (2) Space used for a barber facility shall comply with the following:

   1. (a) must be separated by airtight adjoining walls and ceiling from residence rooms;
   2. (b) must have a separate restroom connected to a municipal sewage system or properly designed and constructed individual sewage system approved by the city, county, or state health department;
   3. (c) must have at least one shampoo bowl; and
   4. (d) must have a separate outside entrance.
3. (3) The use of any such space for sleeping, dining or any other domestic purpose is prohibited. The barber shop and the domestic space cannot be connected by a doorway or opening.
4. (4) Home barber shops licensed prior to the effective date of this rule are not required to comply with section (2) of this rule.
