Rule 60-2-1-.04. Lemon Law Fees

1. (1) Each new motor vehicle dealer shall submit the following on a quarterly basis:

   1. (a) a report, on a form prescribed by the Attorney General, containing the total number of new motor vehicles sold or leased during the quarter; and

   2. (b) two (2) of the three (3) dollars collected for each new motor vehicle purchase or lease transaction.

      The report shall be submitted whether or not a payment is due. Both the reports and payments shall be sent to an address designated by the Attorney General.

2. (2) The new motor vehicle dealer shall retain one (1) dollar of each fee collected to cover administrative costs, including but not limited to the cost of copying and distributing to consumers the statement of lemon law rights as prescribed in O.C.G.A. § 10-1-783(b) and Rule 60-2-1-.05.
