Rule 570-38-3-.09. Minimum Required Insurance

(1) No household goods carrier to which this Subchapter is applicable shall operate or hold itself out to be a household goods carrier without: (a) First complying with Rule 570-38-2-.05 of these Rules; and (b) Complying with all other state and federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to required insurance. (2) The Department may waive some or all of the requirements of paragraph (1) of this Rule if it determines that the carrier is financially capable of self-insuring against losses in amount equal to or greater than the minimum levels of insurance otherwise required by paragraph (1).
