Rule 155-2-.05. Qualified Equipment

1. (1) All disaster preparedness equipment is qualified for approval including rescue equipment described in Chapter 155-1, Rules and Regulations Pertaining to Rescue Organizations. Examples of items qualified for matching grants are:

   1. (a) Emergency warning equipment;
   2. (b) Emergency communications equipment;
   3. (c) Rescue equipment-self contained breathing apparatus, portable resuscitators, etc.;
   4. (d) Emergency Operations Center equipment (excluding furniture and fixtures), e.g., generators;
   5. (e) Special service boats and small watercraft required solely for emergency management emergency use;
   6. (f) Self-propelled wheeled vehicles required solely for emergency management emergency use.

2. (2) Items not qualified for approval include:

   1. (a) Equipment not directly related to emergency management;
   2. (b) Replacement and repair parts;
   3. (c) Costs of transportation, rehabilitation or installation of equipment;
   4. (d) Furniture, buildings and land;
   5. (e) Administrative vehicles.

In accordance with Ga. L. 1981, pp. 389, 290, the words "civil defense" wherever appearing in this Rule have been changed to "emergency management." Filed June 5, 1981; effective July 1, 1981, 55 specified by the Agency.
