1. (1) The Florida Department of Law Enforcement may accept fingerprints of individuals who apply for employment at a private correctional facility and who are required to have background checks under the provisions of this chapter.
2. (2) The Florida Department of Law Enforcement may, to the extent provided for by federal law, exchange state, multistate, and federal criminal history records of individuals who apply for employment at a private correctional facility with the Correctional Privatization Commission for the purpose of conducting background checks as required by the commission.
