If any section, subsection, or provision of ss. 916.31-916.49 is held to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining portions of ss. 916.31-916.49 shall be unaffected because the Legislature declares that the provisions of ss. 916.31-916.49 are severable from each other.
