The following deposits of insurers and agents when made through the department shall be accepted and held and shall be subject to the provisions of this chapter:

1. (1) Deposits required under this code for authority to transact insurance in this state.
2. (2) Deposits of domestic insurers when made pursuant to the laws of other states, provinces, and countries as requirement for authority to transact insurance in such state, province, or country.
3. (3) Deposits in such additional amounts as are permitted to be made under s. 625.58.
