This chapter shall be in force and take effect October 1, 1967, after its enactment, but shall not affect any suit, proceeding or appeal then pending. Former ss. 495.01-495.14 are repealed on the effective date of this act, provided that as to any suit, proceeding or appeal, and for that purpose only, pending at the time this chapter takes effect such repeal shall be deemed not to be effective until final determination of said pending suit, proceeding or appeal.
