1. (1) No person shall engage in the business of outdoor advertising in this state without first obtaining a license therefor from the department. Such license shall be renewed annually. The fee for such license, and for each annual renewal, is $300. License renewal fees shall be payable as provided for in s. 479.07.
2. (2) No person shall be required to obtain the license provided for in this section to erect outdoor advertising signs or structures as an incidental part of a building construction contract.
